MIKE BOYLE

Mike Boyle is one of the foremost experts in the fields of Strength and Conditioning, Functional Training and general fitness. He currently spends his time lecturing, teaching, training and writing. In 1996 Michael co founded Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, one of the first for-profit strength and conditioning companies in the world. Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning exists for one reason: to provide performance enhancement training for athletes of all levels. Athletes trained range from junior high school students to All Stars in almost every major professional sport.

Prior to Co- founding Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, Michael served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Boston University for 15 years, also for the past 25 years he been the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men’s Ice Hockey at Boston University.  Mike also was the Boston Red Sox strength and conditioning coach in 2013 that won the World Series. In addition to his duties at Boston University and the Red Sox, from 1991-1999 Boyle served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. Michael was also the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 1998 US Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team, Gold Medalists in Nagano and 2014 Silver medalists in Sochi, and served as a consultant in the development of the USA Hockey National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Mike has been a featured speaker at numerous strength and conditioning and athletic training clinics across the world and has produced 20 instructional videos in the area of strength and conditioning. Michael has also lectured all over the world. In addition, Mike published Functional Training for Sports for Human Kinetics Publishers.

ERICA SUTER


Erica Suter has been a performance coach to youth female athletes for 13 years. Her mission is to get girls not only fast, strong and robust for their sports, but also for life. As a former college All-American soccer player and now lifelong athlete, Erica wants to share with the next generation the power of consistent speed and strength training for health and performance. Erica is the author of two best-selling books, The Strong Female Athlete and Female Athlete High Performance. She coaches young girls in Tampa, Florida and remotely across the world.

 

BRIAN GRASSO


Brian founded the largest youth development educational organizations in the industry, the International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA), serving as its CEO for nearly 8 years and co-created one of the fastest growing sport and fitness franchises in the United States along with it.

MISSY MITCHELL-MCBETH


Strength and Conditioning Coach with over 19 years of experience at the High School and Division I level. She is a Texas Sales and Business Development Director with Power Lift. Additionally, she has over 17 years of coaching experience both at the high school and collegiate levels. Most recently, she spent 6 years as the head strength and conditioning coach at Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club, Texas. There, she oversaw the development of all Olympic sports athletes, trained each coaching staff to serve as assistant strength and conditioning coaches, and designed two new weight room facilities. Prior to her time at BNHS, she was the senior assistant strength and conditioning coach at TCU in Fort Worth, TX for 7 years. She worked with a variety of teams, but was primarily responsible for Indoor Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, and Women’s golf. Before that she was an assistant volleyball, head girls powerlifting, and high jump coach at Copperas Cove High School in Copperas Cove, TX. Mitchell-McBeth also holds a position on the board of the National High School Strength Coaches Association, overseeing the Southwest Region that includes Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. She holds an MSEd in Exercise Physiology along with a CSCS, SCCC, USAW, and FRCms certifications.

JIM KIELBASO


Jim Kielbaso is the President & CEO of the IYCA, and is also the Director of the Total Performance Training Center in Wixom, Michigan.  He went to Michigan State University for a BS in Exercise Science and received his MS in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan.  He got his  NSCA-CSCS in 1995, and did the NASM Certified Personal Fitness Trainer certification in 1993. Jim was the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at the University of Detroit Mercy from 1996-2002 and earned the distinction of NSCA Strength & Conditioning Professional of the Year for the Midwestern Collegiate Conference (now the Horizon League) in 1998. He was also an adjunct faculty member at UDM, teaching several courses in the Department of Sports Medicine. He served as the State Director for the National Strength & Conditioning Association for six years, and Regional Coordinator for four years.

Jim Kielbaso has written three books, produced multiple training videos and authored numerous articles. He has been a featured presenter at clinics, camps, and conferences across the country including the NSCA National Convention, NSCA Personal Trainers Conference, Michigan State University Strength & Conditioning Clinic, Complete Speed & Power Summits, IYCA National Summits and many more. Jim’s book Ultimate Speed & Agility is considered by many to be the most practical speed mechanics and programming book on the market.  Jim co-authored the Certified Speed and Agility Specialist certification curriculum for the IYCA as well as the Ultimate Speed Mechanics and Ultimate Speed Drills products.  Jim also serves as a sports training business consultant to business owners who want to maximize the profitability of their sports training businesses.


Jim has worked with thousands of athletes at all levels of competition (youth, high school, national level, collegiate, Olympic, NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL).  He has also been hired as a consultant for many teams and schools including the 2012 NCAA Champions University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball Team, the University of Michigan Football Program (combine training) and Saginaw Valley State University football and basketball.

 

JEREMY FRISCH

 

Jeremy Frisch is the owner and director of Achieve Performance Training in Clinton, Mass and a leading youth athletic development expert. He is the former assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Holy Cross athletic department. While there, he worked directly with the Crusader men's basketball team, in addition to serving as the strength coach for Holy Cross' men's soccer, men's and women's lacrosse, baseball, softball, field hockey, tennis and women's track & field squads.

Prior to joining Holy Cross, Frisch served as the sports performance director at Teamworks Sports Center in Acton, Mass., where he was responsible for the design and implementation of all strength and conditioning programs. He also served as a speed and strength coach for Athletes Edge Sports Training, and did a strength and conditioning internship at Stanford University. Frisch is a 2007 graduate of Worcester State College with a bachelor's degree in health science and physical education. He was a member of the football and track teams during his days at Worcester State and Assumption College.

BOBBY SMITH

Bobby Smith is the Owner and Director of Sports Performance at Reach Your Potential Training (RYPT) in Tinton Falls, NJ. He is the co-author of The Coaches Guide to Jump Training, The Complete Guide to Training the Female Athlete, and most recently The Complete Warm-Up.


Bobby has his Master’s in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from Cal U of Pennsylvania, and completed his Bachelors of Science in Special Education from Monmouth University. Coach Smith is a
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction (CSCS*D) and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach with Distinction (RSCC*D) through the NSCA. A Master Sports Performance Coach (MSPC) from the National Sports Performance Association (NSPA), a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sport Medicine (NASM), a Precision Nutrition Certified Nutrition Coach – (PN Level 1), United States Weight Lifting – (USAW-1), and United States of America Track and Field Level 1 Certification (USATF Lv I).

While at Monmouth, Bobby was an All-American Javelin Thrower and an All-Conference running back. After Monmouth, Bobby continued to train and won the 2008 US Olympic Trials in the Javelin.

JOHN GARRISH

John Garrish is serving in his third year as the Director of Athletic Development & Performance at North Broward Preparatory School in Coconut Creek, Florida, and his first as the school's Head Track and Field Coach. A graduate of Wagner College and the University of North Texas, he is certified through the NSCA as a CSCS and through USAW as a Level-1 Sports Performance Coach. In addition to his role at North Broward, John serves as the Director of Athletic Performance with the Florida Rugby Union’s High Performance Program 7’s team and as a volunteer coach with Delray Beach Sports’ Exhibitors. Coach Garrish has spoken at state and national events and serves as the National High School Strength Coaches Association Regional Board Member for the Southeast.

 

 

KIM SLADE

Kim Slade is a Senior Recruiting Coordinator at NCSA College Recruiting. She has her Masters of Sports Leadership from Northeastern University. Kim is a retired Division I student-athlete and former Soccer Coach at FC Stars.

DAVE GLEASON


Dave is the former owner of one of the top youth training facilities in the world, and has worked with thousands of athletes ranging from the shy six year old to all-stars at the professional level.  He’s also an acclaimed international presenter on youth fitness and widely regarded as the fitness industry’s ‘go-to guy’ for coaching kids ages 6-13.

Dave is the co-creator of the popular IYCA Youth Speed Development product. Dave’s book contributions include Complete Sports Training: Speed, Strength and Conditioning for Today's Athlete , Youth Fitness Specialist Level 1 text – Essentials of Youth Conditioning and Fitness (Second Edition) and How Much Does A Zebra Weigh.  Dave has been an advisor and content provider to Reebok International and consultant to trainers, coaches, physical educators, national and local youth sports organizations as well as public school systems K-12. Dave still actively coaches young athletes in sports performance and soccer skills training. EMILIE BURGESS MS, RDN, CSSD, LDN

Emilie Burgess is a board-certified specialist in sports dietetics specializing in sports performance, low energy availability, disordered eating, and eating disorders in athletes. She currently works as a sport & eating disorder dietitian at Laura Moretti Nutrition LLC, co-chair for the 2025 Female Athlete Conference, and a contract dietitian for USA Track and Field.

Emilie was most recently the Athletics Sports Dietitian for 34 varsity teams at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and served as the Exhibitor Chair for the 2023 Female Athlete Conference.

As a dietitian, Emilie has worked at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, Cambridge Eating Disorder Center, and at Home Base Program, a Boston Red Sox and Massachusetts General Hospital program. During the pandemic, she transitioned to Boston Hope, a COVID-19 field hospital where she helped co-lead and build the food service department.

Emilie has also worked as a clinical nutrition specialist in the Division of Sports Medicine and Female Athlete Program at Boston Children’s Hospital, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Recreation, and completed a sports nutrition fellowship program at the University of Washington through the Gatorade Sports Nutrition Immersion Program.

Emilie earned a BS in Dietetics at the University of Connecticut, where she competed as a Division I tennis player. She went on to earn a MS in Nutrition and Food Science, and completed a dietetic internship at West Virginia University.

Associate MiLB S&C Coach with the Milwaukee Brewers, previous MiLB S&C Coach w/ Detroit Tigers, Current NSCA Baseball SIG Executive Council Member & NSCA Georgia State Advisory Board Member, and Best Selling Book Author. I am an Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach for the Milwaukee Brewers at the AA affiliate, Biloxi Shuckers.

In 2023, I was a Performance Coach with Nashville SC of Major League Soccer, where I was responsible for the Strength & Conditioning , as well as rehab and Sports Science of the Next Pro Team.

I spent the 2021 & 2022 seasons as a MiLB S&C Coach with the Detroit Tigers, at the Minor League/Spring Training Complex in Lakeland and previously worked out of the Tigers Dominican Complex. My roles included being one of the Strength & Conditioning coach for the Tigers DSL team in 2021, coaching the 2021 Fall Instructional Camps and Strength Camp, working 2022 Spring Training & Pre-season Mini Camps and Extended Spring Training. In 2022 I was the FCL Tigers Strength Coach and filled in for Low A Lakeland for a few games. With the Tigers I coached in both English & Spanish and became proficient in VBT technology such as GymAware and force plates.

I have previously coached athletes training for the Olympics, working towards D1 scholarships, and training NCAA (volunteer coach with the Kennesaw State University Football team). I was the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Walton High School and continue to write their workouts and remotely help their sport coaches manage the weight room.

I have also written and published two number 1 best selling books (with over 900 copies sold) on Amazon and been a guest on numerous Strength & Conditioning and baseball related podcasts such as Iron Game Chalk Talk 2.0, Attack Angle, Chalk Talk, HWCN, and others. I have won 9 Best of Atlanta Awards from Best Self Magazine, Creative Loafing, and Modern Luxury Magazine. I am currently on the NSCA Advisory Board (Georgia).

I have a masters degree in S&C with a focus on exercise science, and I hold several coaching certifications, including the NSCA-CSCS*D, NSCA-RSCC*D and previously had certifications with ISSA Master Trainer (which includes the ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer, Specialist in Strength & Conditioning, Specialist in Fitness Nutrition, Specialist in Sports Nutrition, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Specialist in Exercise Therapy), USA Weightlifting Level 2 Coach, USA Powerlifting Senior National Coach, and NASM Youth Exercise Specialist and hold the US Soccer Federation’s GR Coaching License.

I have experience managing staff of interns, as well as a team of 9 coaches at the gym I owned all while programming and coaching all levels of client/athlete throughout our personal training, group fitness, nutrition, and weightlifting programs.
